Our llama Cowboy is an example of an Argentine llama. Argentine llamas have dense fiber and fiber coverage down their legs and in their faces and ears. They also have heavy leg bones on them. Cowboy like most other Argentine llamas is very sweet and easy to handle!
Our llama Lena is a classic llama. Classic llamas have a double coat. They have a lot of guard hair all over and an undercoat that is easily combed out. Classics have short neck hair with a mane of guard hair down the back of their necks. They have short hair on their legs and face.
Our llama Coats is considered to be a light wool llama. He has a lot of guard hair like a classic however his undercoat does not shed out and cannot be combed out easily, he gets shorn every year. He also has more fiber on his head and doesn’t have the mane down the back of his neck.
