4-H involvement

9/1/2021

Today I wanted to talk about what a great program 4-H is. All three of our kids are involved and both of us grew up doing 4-H, that is how we met. It is more than just animals, there are so many projects that you can become involved in. Our kids enjoy the club that they are a part of with the llamas. Some of their favorite things are going on hikes and showing at the fair. By keeping a record book each year it has taught them to keep track of what goes into keeping their animals. Our youngest did a public presentation her first year in the program and she did great speaking in front of others, this is also something that helped me so much when I was in 4-H. If you want to be in an animal project and don’t have an animal you could look into borrowing one. I borrowed a llama my first year in 4-H. Again there are so many projects to choose from it is really a wonderful program for kids.
4H is FUN
